A monument to the heroes of Operation Nemesis, who committed an act of retribution against the organizers of the Armenian Genocide, has opened in Yerevan. The monument was erected on Alek Manukyan Street.
On the monument are the names of Soghomon Tehlirian, Aram Yerkanyan, Arshavir Shirakyan, Petros Ter-Poghosyan, Artashes Gevorkyan, Misak Torlakyan, Stepan Tsaghikyan, Hakob Melkumov, Yervand Fundukyan, Armen Garo, Grigor Merdzhanov, Avetik Isahakyan, Arshak Yezdanyan, Ara Sargsyan, Grach Pap azyana, Shaana Natalie.
The memorial symbolizes dignity, justice and the inevitability of punishment.
The operation called "Nemesis" was not developed for long, and the task was the only one: to eliminate the killers who escaped punishment. The Operation provides for acts of retaliation against the leadership of the Ottoman Empire, who organized the Armenian Genocide, as well as the leaders of the Azerbaijan involved in the massacre of Armenians in Baku in 1918.
