Lmbatavank (correctly, Saint Stepanos Church of Lmpat Monastery) is an architectural monument about two kilometers southwest of Artik. It is a small dome-shaped building with an external and internal cross plan, a trumpet transmission, an octagonal drum. The preserved records do not contain information about the construction.
According to the architectural analysis, it is from the 6th century. The preserved traces give reason to assume that the western wing was surrounded by a hall. The dome was restored in the 10th century. The tall structure with harmonious volumes and decorative painting elements has a restrained and humble character. In the section of the altar and the parts to the right and left of it, the remains of modern frescoes of the construction of Lmbatavank have been preserved. i Now the frescoes have decayed and are almost invisible.
