Harichavank (also formerly Ghpchaghavank), a medieval monastic complex in Armenia. It is one of the ancient medieval Armenian monasteries. The oldest building, St. Grigor church was built in the 7th century. The main church of the monastery was built by the order of Zakare and Ivane brothers in 1201, it is a large structure with a cross dome.
This monument is one of the jewels of medieval architecture, surrounded by delicate ornaments. The building is majestic in its simplicity and perfection of construction. The monastery was also a center of science. In 1887-1889, Avetik Isahakyan studied at the famous school there.
