The monument dedicated to the battle of Avarayr is a multi-figure bronze statue. Above is Vardan Mamikonyan, on a pedestal 5.5 meters high in the clouds, with a cross and a flag in one hand and a sword in the other. On the other pedestal are the Armenian Catholicos Hovsep Hoghotsmetsi, Ghevond Erets, Princess Sahakanush and Artak Kamsarakan. Sculptor: Artush Papoyan
