Telik is a center aimed at restoring, preserving and spreading Tavush handicraft traditions.
The purpose of the masterclasses and other experiences organized here is to introduce the Tavush handcraft environment for tourist groups and solo travelers. The average duration of the masterclasses is 1.5-2 hours, during which visitors participate and create Armenian unique ornaments.
In addition to the actual masterclass, you will learn the rich history - handicrafts in Tavush, especially to the types of women's crafts, local peculiarities.
The offer is diverse and can ensure the participation of about twenty visitors at the same time. The visitor learns carpet and rug weaving on small benches under the supervision of a master. After finishing the work, the visitor can take as a souvenir what he has made himself: the carpet, rug or the embroidered cloth. The tourist / tour group chooses the masterclass on their own initiative: carpet making or rug weaving, embroidery, drawing on shirt.
During the masterclass, visitors will be offered to taste tea and coffee with local sweets. Guests can explore the center's handicrafts as well. Telik also offers a tour of the center, where guests can see how craftsmen make a variety of handicrafts.
We offer children to take part in pottery classes in the building. The master classes are held in Ijevan, in the newly built building of the Tavush Diocese, on the 2nd floor.
