"Zanan" culture center is located in the territory of the central Kumayri-reserve museum of Gyumri, on Varpetats street, in the basement of the memorial house-museum of writer Hovhannes Shiraz. The building was built in 1868 by a wealthy merchant from Alexandropol with the surname Keshishyan. "Zanan" is located in the basement of this building, which has a separate entrance from the museum. The choice of the place and the street was not random. This street, which was renamed "Varpetats Street" after the opening of the museum, speaks of the once rich artisan life of the city and the honorary title "master" of people who are considered experts and connoisseurs of their work here.
