Gyumri S. Merkurov House-Museum was founded in 1984, in the father's house of the sculptor. The Merkurov mansion was built in 1869, in the southern part of the city, by the sculptor's grandfather, Fyodor Merkurov. The Merkurovs migrated from Karin and settled in Alexandropol in the 1930s. Photographs of the sculptor's monumental works and posthumous masks of famous people are displayed in the museum. The total number of the museum collection is 2355.
The museum presents the sculptor's personal belongings, documents and posthumous masks. Some of the sculptor's monumental sculptures are also shown through the lights. Posthumous masks are also on display.
