Dashtadem Fortress

Description

The Dashtadem fortress was supposedly founded by the Armenian noble family of Kamsarakan around the 7th-10th century. The building was attacked more than once, but then the destruction was restored and the fortress continued to function. Dashtadem remained a functioning fortress until the 16th century. The excavations revealed many ancient khachkars, glass, clay and bronze items, and a coin of the 12th century was also found.
