Vahagn and Astghik Waterfalls

In Armenia, as in other countries, paganism has left its deep mark. In honor of the gods beloved by Armenians, some waterfalls in Armenia were even named. On the territory of the Khosrov Reserve, for example, there are 4 waterfalls, 2 of which are in close proximity to each other and are named after Armenian pagan gods - Astghik (goddess of love and beauty) and Vahagn (god of fire and war). Astghik was the beloved of Vahagn. According to legend, after their love meetings, it rained, which subsequently brought people a rich harvest.
