Description

The Sardarapat Memorial Complex is a monument erected in honor of the victory of the Armenian troops over the Turkish invaders in 1918.
In 1968, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the victory in Sardarapat, a memorial complex was opened here on the site of the mass grave of the soldiers who fell in battle. The complex includes a tomb-bell tower on both sides of which there are sculptures in the form of winged bulls. Bulls symbolize the survivors who keep and cherish the memory of the dead. Another element of the monument is the memorial Victory Wall, which is decorated with bas-reliefs.
