Ziarat Yazidi Temple

Ziarat, also called Sltan Ezid, is a Yezidi temple in the village of Aknalich in the Armavir region of Armenia. The temple is the largest Yazidi temple in the world and the first Yazidi temple built outside the Yazidi homeland of northern Iraq. The opening of the temple was in the fall of 2019. The architecture of the temple has a traditional design consisting of a cone-shaped dome made of stone lined with marble. The area is 40 square meters with a total capacity of 30 parishioners.
