Description

Dendropark is the first botanical garden in Armenia. The park was founded in 1931 by Polish engineer-forester Edmund Leonowicz. The total area of the arboretum is 35 ha of which 17.5 ha are natural forests, ornamental trees occupy 15 ha of the territory. There are also native trees and plants, for example Carpinus caucasica, Fagus orientalis, etc. Thanks to the essential oils of the pines, the air is very helpful for people with respiratory problems.
Today, the arboretum is the center of interest for the public, professional scientists and ecotourists. There is also a wooden bridge there. When you cross the bridge for the first time, have a dream and wait for it to come true. The best time to go to Dendropark is between May and November.
