The splendid nature of the Lori region is complemented by the Church of Saint Nicolas . It was built in 1848 in the neo-Russian style, by the Ukrainian Cossacks, founded for the Russian Orthodox of the village Nikolayevka (currently Amrakits). The church was quite damaged by the Spitak earthquake in 1988 and is not functioning to this day.
